Plansmith is a 35-year-old software company with products that help community banks develop risk analysis and budgeting. The company underwent an initiative (using their own software), and repositioned the business as a strategic planning consulting firm. Community banks face many challenges, including larger regional and national competitors who can out-invest in online and mobile banking services. Plansmith’s new business purpose is to provide strategy and execution consulting and services to community banks, helping them maximize their unique opportunities in the communities they serve.

Torque took Plansmith through brand positioning, message, and planning as a foundation for rebranding the firm. Initial efforts included redesigning the logo, writing a tagline and reformulating existing product descriptions to align with the new strategy. Torque also developed a new website as well as digital marketing tools and is looking ahead to a sustained in-marketing digital program to support the firm’s Hubspot inbound marketing activities.
