Lifoam created the first foam ice chest in the 1950s, and they’ve been serving both commercial and consumer needs for keeping food cold on-the-go ever since. They needed a robust online presence and a product site that was easy to navigate, full of fresh energy and focused more on the consumer side of the business.

Torque had done many projects with the brand’s parent company, Jarden Home Brands, and sibling company, Jarden Life Sciences. We had worked on Lioam itself before, too – we had created the brand and brand standards several years earlier. For each brand, we took a different approach. For Lifoam, with this next project, we knew it had to be an emotional one. Storytelling around “outdoor eating/entertaining occasions” became the foundation for the brand. Celebrating the classic picnic or a day at the beach was the emotional trigger for presenting the product. We developed a brand new website with highly considered UI/UX to navigate the complex product mix, and designed the look and feel to echo classic American outdoor fun and the events in which coolers are used. To take engagement and connection with consumers to the next level through the website, we crafted an About page that featured a video in the header and a visually appealing timeline of the company’s history. Through these strategic and creative tactics, we reached the consumer in a way the brand never had before.
